Reading- Students are currently reading self-selected mysteries. We have been practicing summarizing the most important events in our stories. Next week we will be looking at point of view.

Writing- Students are using Tellingboards as a pre-writing tool to create their narratives. Using these boards students are able to draw sketches of their story, share with peers, edit the sequencing and details, write, and then publish.

Math: We have been practicing creating arrays, organizing math factors, and identifying numbers as prime or composite. Next week we will be exploring the properties of geometric shapes and reviewing for our Unit 2 test.

We will be taking a break from spelling until after November break. We will be using this time in class to complete assessments.
